Twenty-eight years after the original, Spike Lee’s, “She’s Gotta Have It” will be coming back to your TV screen! A story about a Brooklyn woman and her three boyfriends will be hitting Showtime for a half an hour TV series. The updated version of the 1986 film will explore Lee’s views on race, gender, sexuality, relationships and gentrification in Brooklyn. Spike can’t seem to stop talking about gentrification, and I’m here for it all. Spike’s views on race and gentrification are likely to provoke a huge reaction, especially after the huge debate we all remember at Pratt University. Would be interesting to see how it plays out now in the series.
