The Nets came into tonight seeking a must win against the hungry Indiana Pacers. The Brooklyn team would need help from their reserves and star players and revived just that to secure the 111-108 win. Both teams went lifeless in different quarters during the first half but the pace picked up heavily in the 2nd half, especially the 4th quarter. Joe Johnson would nail a 3 pointer to ice the game and help get the Nets on a 4 game winning streak for the first time this season.

The Nets would start the game ice cold allowing the Pacers to take a 7-0 lead. Nets would come storming back hitting 3-pointers and feeding big man, Brook Lopez. As the 2nd half started, maybe the Nets caught some of what the Pacers had because they too became lifeless. Nets could buy a basket and fell into a dangerous slump. The Pacers would come all the way back and take the lead, their first since 10-8 in the first quarter. As the quarter winded down the Nets and Pacers were dead even at 52. Coming out of the half the Nets committed two quick fouls an allowed the Pacers to retake the lead 61-59. Nets and Pacers would battle back and forth on the boards taking the lead away from each other until Joe Johnson hit a big time 3 pointer to put the Nets up by four, 74-70 Nets. Nets would start the 4th continuing their run and go up by 9, 88-79. Soon after, both teams just seemed to miss or tuner the ball over until the pacers cut it to 5, 88-83, causing a Nets time out. Jarrett Jack would hit a beautiful leaning floater and get the “and-1” Nets would get a chance to go up by double digits as their defense increased and did. Nets would lead 95-85 causing a Pacers time out. Alan Anderson would continue helping out his team in tough situations and complete a 3 point play to maintain the 10 point lead, 100-90. Pacers would go up by 5 until Pacers head coach, Frank Vogel, picked up a technical and gave the Nets an extra point. David West of the Pacers would continue to find himself at the line and knock down some free throws to cut the lead to 3, 103-100. Nets defense would come through and forced Roy Hilbert to take a 3 pointer that obviously didn’t go in.  Joe Johnson would hit a big time 3-pointer to put the Nets up by 8, 100-108.

The Indiana Pacers played the foul game but could not take advantage. Nets would capture the win, 111-108 as well as 4-games straight for the first time this season.
