Brooklyn Heights is quickly becoming the neighborhood of stars.
The Brooklyn Heights penthouse at 171 Columbia Heights is going for a whopping $16.645 million and according to the Wall Street Journal, actor Matt Damon is already in contract to buy.
The building, designed by F. S. Lowe in 1903, was once the home of the famous Standish Arms hotel, which appeared in DC Comics as the Metropolis home of Clark Kent but was then remodeled as an apartment building by developers DDG and real estate firm Westbrook Partners.
The condo contains six bedrooms, is 6,218 square feet, and comes with its own private outdoor space. Other amenities include a fitness center and a kid’s playroom.
If Damon does agree to pay the asking price, the sale will set the record for the most expensive residential sale in Brooklyn, according to the Real Deal.
