It's Spring In Brooklyn - Luna Park Reopens This Sunday!

As the weather gets warmer and people start shedding their layers Brooklynites would be happy to know their favorite rides like the slingshot, pirate ship, and the infamous Cyclone rollercoaster will be available again soon.

Luna Park, Coney Island’s famous amusement park, is the most memorable (and fun) part of Brooklyn where people spend their hot summer days soaking up the sun. Residents of Brooklyn would be glad to know that Luna Park is coming back into season.

The kick-off season will begin at 11:30 a.m., this Sunday, March 2, .with Mr. Met at 1000 Surf Avenue, Brooklyn. One of the first events will be the traditional egg cream toast from the Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams before the first Cyclone ride of the season begin. As an incentive the first 150 guests will receive a free egg cream from the Brooklyn Seltzer Boys.

In addition the rides mentioned, do not forget to try out the Scream Zone, a section that has four new rides for the “bigger” child. Within the Scream Zone there are two new coasters, the Zenobio (a spinning disc), and the Human Sling Shot. If you would like to take break from the rides be sure to check out the Cyclone Cafe which offers sushi rolls and serves as an alternative to the usual park food like hot dogs and ice cream.

The park will be open from noon to 8 p.m. and hours will be alternated during the summer and fall.
