The intimate event included a performance from comedian Mike Birbiglia and musical guests Jack Antonoff and Jemima Kirke sang together before Dunham appeared on stage. After reading her excerpts, Dunham teamed up with Zadie Smith, essayist and recent author of “Zadie Smith On Beauty”, to share life experience and indulge in a serious Q&A.

Good times with the fellow Brooklyn lover.
