The popular Law & Order SVU is back for season 17 and plans to kick off the popular series with some filming in Brooklyn.

Brooklyn is no stranger to the cast and crew of the fictional crime solving show. For many years, select areas of the borough have been the back drop to a number of episodes. According to City Councilwoman, Laurie Cumbo and an NBC Universal spokeswoman, the Law & Order SVU cast will shoot in Clinton Hill this Wednesday. While it hasn’t been reported what celebrities will be in attendance for this week’s shoot, the episode titled, Unholiest Alliance, is scheduled to film inside two restaurants; Putnam’s Pub & Cooker and Five Spot Soul Food on Myrtle Avenue. The cast and crew will also occupy Clinton Avenue between Myrtle and Park Avenue to capture a scene where a nun will pick up a girl in a minivan.

The episode is scheduled to air March 23rd at 9pm on NBC.

Due to the capacity of the shoot, several roads will be blocked starting Tuesday at 10pm.
