You can all breathe a sigh of relief. Junior’s and your favorite cheesecake is here to stay!

Back in February talks of the Rosen family (owners for 64 years) selling the original Junior’s location starting hitting the net. It all came as a shock because it’s not only a Brooklyn landmark and one of the few we have left, but where would we all go for strawberry cheesecake?

Alan Rosen had a sudden change of heart and has officially taken the two story building that houses Junior’s off the market. Since the corner location was put on the market, offers for the iconic building sky rocketed. Rosen was offered as much as $45 million dollars.

Rosen told the New York Times that the building is Junior’s identity.

This is the one where I came on my first dates. It’s where my family spent most of their waking hours.”

Junior’s was first opened in 1950 as a family-owned business and in its third generation of family.
