What a year it has been. Happy Anniversary To Us!

OurBKSocial launched on December 21st, 2013 with just four post and a dream. Today marks our first year Anniversary and we couldn’t be more excited for the growth of this website and our beautiful borough.

OurBKSocial’s goal is to continue to spread positivity throughout our neighborhoods and to promote the love of Brooklyn that so many around the world have. Though we are highly aware that bad things happen all the time, we as a site have vowed to only report on the positive things happening with-in Brooklyn that sometimes go unnoticed. So much greatness is happening all around us that sometimes gets looked over because the spotlight is shining on the wrong things.

We also are a community based website and yearn to hear what you have to say and report it back to other news outlets that may not be listening. We are the community, we are what makes Brooklyn, Brooklyn. We were born here, raised here, built our houses here, we should be the first priority when it comes to the concerns of our borough.

We wanted to hear what exactly it is that you loved about Brooklyn, so we reached out to a few of our Instagram followers and the response was priceless!
