Bay Ridge, your commute just got a tad bit easier! On June 29th, the B37 bus, which once connected Bay Ridge to Downtown Brooklyn, will return with a shorter route, officials announced yesterday. The Metropolitan Transportation Authority stopped the B37 along with 30 other lines in 2010. Angry commuters have fought to restore service ever since the bus was canceled. Well they have finally persuaded the authority’s board to bring back the coveted bus, well most of the bus route.

The new B37 route will still run primarily along Third Avenue but will now have its final stop at the Barclays Center, rather than Borough Hall, like before.  Although many commuters would love the full service back they will now take what they can get. Also along the route riders will be able to transfer to the B103 for complete service into Downtown Brooklyn.
