'Feast BedStuy' Is Back In Brooklyn For An Evening Of Food & Music

One of Brooklyn’s popular neighborhood crawls is back for its third consecutive year. Bridge Street Development Corporation’s, a Brooklyn-based non-profit, will host their first Feast BedStuy food crawl of the season along Malcolm X Blvd on Tuesday, April 5 from 6-10pm.

Over the past year, as Brooklyn continues to grow and evolve, a slew of new neighborhood businesses have opened along the boulevard, making the the crawl bigger and better than ever. Feast BedStuy: Malcolm X Blvd’s food and beverage tour is set to run a full eight blocks — from Fulton Street to Putnam Avenue.  Participating venues include L’Antagoniste, Casablanca Cocktail Lounge, Daddy Green’s Pizza, Doc D’s, Khemistry Bar, Natural Blend Juice Bar & Bakery and Zabka Café. To sum it all up a diverse choice of menu options ranging from French and Italian cuisine to Southern sweets and Polish fare will all be the highlight of the crawl.

Discounts include $6 Pilsner tap beer with a shot of house whiskey or tequila and $10 pizza pies at Casablanca Cocktail Lounge, $5 plain slice with salad combo at Daddy Green’s Pizza, $35 three-course prix fixe meal with wine served up at L’Antagoniste, Salmon Slavic Sandwich + Coffee combo for $7 at Zabka Café and $1 discount off curry chicken and ribs at Natural Blend — to spotlight a few. Crawl participants can also register to receive samples on behalf of Bridge Street.

This food tour is part of a series of neighborhood crawls highlighting Central Brooklyn as a culinary destination via the district’s small businesses combined with the lush spirit and unique characteristics of the historic neighborhood. Funded by a New York City Department of Small Business Services grant, Feast BedStuy has hosted eight crawls over the past two years. The crawls support businesses along identified hospitality and commercial corridors in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

In addition, music will be provided by Love the Barber and an end-of-night party presented by Casablanca.
