Now this should be extremely insteresting! Rap genius, Eminem took to Instagram today to announce that his new video “Headlights”, directed by Spike Lee, will be released on Mother’s Day, May 11th. Last month Spike flew out to Eminem’s hometown, Detroit to capture authentic images for the new video.

The song “Headlights” was co-written by Nate Ruess (who also has a feature) and is a ode to Eminem’s mom. For years, the rapper spoke neatively about his mother through his music. This is the one song that he apologizes for it all. Eminem (born as Marshall Mathers) writes to his mom, Debbie Mathers on the track

“I went in headfirst, never thinking about who what I said hurt/In what verse, my mom probably got it the worst, the brunt of it/But as stubborn as we are, did I take it too far, ‘Cleaning Out My Closet’/And all them other songs, but regardless I don’t hate you/Cause ma, you’re still beautiful to me, cause you’re my mom.”
