The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge seemed to have left their mark in New York after their visit to the city late last year. While the the royal couple had an action packed trip to the big apple, that included courtside seats at a Nets game, they made a small stop at The Door—a youth center in Manhattan, to watch a performance put on by a couple of kids that attend.

Steven Prescod of Brooklyn, who conducted a one man show “Brooklyn Boy,” stunned Prince William so much that he gave Prescod his phone number and promised to help get his show on a world stage. Well, it’s now a few months later and MyFoxNY caught up with the talented young man to great news of the Prince keeping his word. Prince William  connected Steve with the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. The organization has agreed to sponsor Steven’s showcase of his 90-minute autobiographical monologue today, at the National Black Theatre in Harlem.
