A couple of Brooklyn neighborhoods are getting new additions! The bike sharing phenomenon, CitiBike, is headed to both North Williamsburg and Greenpoint.

CitiBikes, in partnership with Citibank, was first introduced to NYC residents in May of 2013, as a way to instill an easier and more efficient way of transportation. Many bike riders including a slew of celebrities have been spotted riding the dark blue bikes, throughout Brooklyn.

Citibikes are available for use 24 hours a day and it can be docked and undocked from/at any station. The expansion comes from a group of new investors who are excited to see this franchise grow.

Renting a CitiBike for the day is cost efficient with up to three different plans including a 24 hour pass, a 7 day pass and an annual membership. The 24 hour and 7 day passes provide access to unlimited 30 minutes rides and the annual membership provides unlimited 45 minute rides.
