Prospect Heights residents, sorry to burst your bubble but the second Trader Joe’s location is not coming to Washington Avenue.

The popular private label, California-based grocery chain, that give Whole Foods a run for their money, is set to open a 18,000-square-foot store at 206 Kent Avenue (bet N. 3rd Street and Metropolitan Ave) in Williamsburg. The new 45,000-square-foot development by Alliance Private Capital, just a few blocks away from Whole Foods set to open next year on Bedford Avenue and North Fourth Street, will include ground-floor retail and office space on the upper floors.

The new location is hoping to capitalize on new residents slated to move into nearby newly built residential and mixed-use complexes.

Williamsburg seems to be getting everything, from Whole Foods, to an expected Apple Store and now Trader Joe’s.

The first Trader Joe’s in Brooklyn opened back in 2008 in Cobble Hill.
