Brooklyn-Nets1

After a huge double overtime win against the Miami Heat  (104-95) and then on Saturday falling short to the Toronto Raptors (80-96) who also cut their 5 game winning streak, the Nets head over to London to play against the Atlanta Hawks this Thrusday. The Nets will be playing at the O2 Arena, the only game they have scheduled for the next eight days. It’s a long way to travel for a game, so they deserve the other days off.

According to the New York Times, each player is allowed to take one person to tag along with them on the trip. Mason Plumlee, who is playing in his rookie year with the Nets (drafted in 2013 at Barclays Center) said he was going to take his mother. Plumlee stated, “Man, I owe her for a lot, I don’t got a girlfriend, so I’ll take Mom.”

This will be the 8th NBA trip to the O2 arena and the Nets 3rd trip there. When asked of Jason Kidd’s excitement, he stated “I did this trip last year,” who was at the time playing for the Knick 2012-13 season, “The game is scheduled in London, so we have to go over there to play it!” A game is a game, no matter the location, Kidd just wants a win.

Being that the Nets have three international players, Andrei Kirilenko (Russia), Tornike Shengelia (republic of Georgia), and Mirza Teletovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina), playing abroad is something they always look forward to.

Mirza teletovic said, “Going to Europe, it’s like going back home,”  who is excited to see some family members at the game.

This should be an exciting game! Unfortunately  Deron Williams who currently has a sprained ankle did not fly out with the team to London.
