Barclays Center has continued to prove itself time and time again to be the better New York arena (and that’s not just because we are Brooklyn focused, it’s the truth).

After an amazingly successful launch to its Sports & Entertainment Advisory Board last December, the Brooklyn arena has just expanded the star-studded group with the following industry leaders and tastemakers in sports, entertainment, and media:

Created by the CEO of Barclays Center,  Brett Yormark and Executive Vice President of Republic Records at Universal Music Group, Charlie Walk, the 30-plus member Advisory Board contributes to the programming strategy and direction for Barclays Center and will also offer its overall expertise to the soon to be recreated Nassau Coliseum, the Brooklyn Paramount Theatre at LIU, and future venues.

“In just two months our Advisory Board has become an instrumental resource for Barclays Center and we are proud to expand our diversified group with some of the most influential and prominent leaders in the sports and entertainment world,” said Barclays Center and Brooklyn Nets CEO Brett Yormark, who is Co-Chair of the Advisory Board. “On the heels of NBA All-Star 2015, Barclays Center has hosted some of the best events and top artists, but we want to continue to improve and our Advisory Board will make a major impact on our future and the launch of Nassau Coliseum.”

The Advisory Board will also be part of the planning for many upcoming major Barclays Center events, including the ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament, the 2016 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, its annual New Year’s Eve shows that are featured on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC, and other world-class events to be announced soon.

“As we continue to evolve, we continue to collect the most creative and innovative minds in sports & entertainment,” said Charlie Walk, who is Co-Chair of the Advisory Board.
