Wednesday night, Barclays Center held the first Amnesty International concert for the universal call for human rights. The first concert in 16 years and they chose Brooklyn to host it! Stars like Madonna, Lauryn Hill, Yoko Ono, Cold War Kids and The Fray and many more with special guests of Pussy Riot graced the stage.

The concert was showcased around the members of Pussy Riot who were just released from jail. They had been incarcerated for two years in a Russian penal colony for hooliganism (a disruptive or unlawful behavior such as rioting, bullying, and vandalism). Amnesty International played a huge role in their release.
